KC product certification: your ticket to South Korea!

Certification de produits pour l'international

To help manufacturers and importers gain access to the Korean market, Apave Certification, a subsidiary of the Apave group, has signed an agreement with KTL (Korea Testing Laboratory), one of the few bodies recognised for KC certification, which is essential for exporting to South Korea.

The Apave branch is extending its international reach by broadening its range of services, offering its customers compliance with product certification regulations on a global scale.

How the partnership works:

Our laboratories in France test items intended for export according to KTL criteria. After these tests, items that meet KC standards receive certification, and the KC logo can then be affixed to them.
Once certification has been granted, surveillance audits are carried out at the production plants.

We are delighted to be able to offer KC certification to our customers. This recognition opens the doors to a new market, in line with the expansion ambitions of our customers, who export electrical and electronic equipment’, says Thomas SAILLARD, Product Certification Manager at Apave.

Once certification has been obtained, surveillance audits are also carried out in production plants for products subject to safety certification.
The KC system comprises three types of certification:

  • KC safety certification: The most complex process, with very strict requirements. In addition to product testing in Korea, the production site undergoes an audit and follow-up inspections every two years to maintain the validity of the certificates.
Cetification KC

•   KC safety confirmation: This requires product testing in Korea and applications to finalise the certification process. Application for certification - Product testing - Issue of a safety confirmation report.

•    Confirmation of conformity from the supplier: The manufacturer must guarantee and demonstrate that the products comply with Korean standards. Tests in Korea are generally preferred. This certification is also known as ‘KC Supplier Conformity’.

Thanks to this partnership, Apave Certification is keeping up to date with the standards governing the export of products to South Korea.
