New ISO 45001 accreditation obtained

Occupational health and safety is a major issue for companies, and has been for many years. It is the employer's responsibility to safeguard the health of his employees and protect them from occupational hazards, in particular by installing personal protective equipment (PPE), assessing risks and drawing up a single document, and implementing an appropriate and effective prevention policy.

 

To support all those involved in the continuous improvement of occupational health and safety, the International Standard ISO 45001: Occupational Health and Safety Management System provides a framework for organizations to plan the measures to be put in place to reduce occupational risks.

Apave Certification is the first certification body to be accredited by Cofrac (accreditation no. 4-0552 available at www.cofrac.fr) for ISO 45001: Certification of occupational safety management systems.

Who is ISO 45001 intended for?

The ISO 45001 standard applies to the internal organization of all types of structures in the public or private sector, whatever their size or sector of activity. It also applies externally to subcontractors and suppliers, and addresses the impact of a company's activities on the surrounding environment.
