The ISO 3834 standard does not constitute a standard describing a quality management system, it includes certain provisions on the organization and it also specifies requirements on the skills of the personnel, on the products and on the equipment.
The ISO 3834 standard serves as the common core of the 2 standards EN 1090 and EN 15085. It is not necessary to be ISO 3834 certified to be certified EN 1090 or EN 15085.
