What is Loss of the status of waste ?

Some waste that has been subjected to a recovery or recycling operation, and which meet specific criteria, can lose the status of waste and take on the status of a product again.
Apave Certification assists you in apprehending and in anticipating the procedures for losing the status.
Conducing a third party evaluation of the Quality System of Installations Classified for the Protection of the Environment (ICPE) that produce shredded wood packaging sold as a fuel in a combustion plant.
The offer is intended exclusively for Operators of installations of which the shredded wood packaging meets the requirements of the loss of the status of waste (SSD) in terms of the Order of 19 June 2015 (recovery of the waste sold as a raw material, which loses the status of waste). It is intended for operators who are not/do not want to be certified according to the standard ISO 9001 for this activity.
This is a third party evaluation service of the Quality System, simplified with respect to ISO 9001 certifications in terms of the elements to be set up for the requesting body and the time spent in performing the evaluation and the frequency (every 3 years).
The service is performed after a visit of the installations, examination of the documents and records and discussion with the people involved (Management, Quality Manager, Person in charge of sampling). Deliverables: detailed report provided at the end of the service and certification of compliance with the Order of 19 June 2015 if the conditions are met.
